Panama City Man Stabbed In Jackson County

An argument that escalated into an altercation is blamed for sending a Panama City man to an Alabama hospital with life threatening stab wounds.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the vicinity of U.S. Highway 231 and Springfield Road, north of Cottondale.

The JCSO said the victim, Cedric Maurice Cameron, was arguing with Jacqueline Alecia Jackson when Jackson pulled a knife and stabbed him.

Both Cameron and Jackson live at 109 Detroit Avenue in Panama City.

Cameron, 43, reportedly received wounds to his arm, shoulder and chest.  He was transported to the Jackson Hospital emergency room and then transferred to Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Jackson, 50, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
