May is World Trade Month, which celebrates the benefits of robust international trade on local, state and national economies.
This year, Florida lawmakers joined with the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Florida, the Florida Ports Council, local governments and a host of maritime businesses to celebrate the inaugural Florida World Trade Month.
Florida World Trade Month is aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of international trade as a major contributor to job creation and economic growth.
More than half of Florida’s nearly $150 billion in annual international trade comes through Florida’s 15 seaports, making international trade and growing global partnerships critical to ports and the communities we serve.
